Why we built Leadcity daily

9/8/2026

Why We Built Lead City Daily It usually starts with a simple question: “Guy, what’s happening today?” Someone hears there’s a party tonight. Someone else knows about an opportunity nobody else has heard about. Someone is looking for a roommate. Someone needs a graphic designer. Someone is selling a fridge because they’re leaving campus. Someone is asking, “Who has tickets?” And somehow, the information is already moving around campus — WhatsApp groups, Snapchat stories, class groups, private chats, word of mouth. But if you weren’t in the right group? You missed it. That was the problem. We didn’t want to build another boring school website where you only check announcements. We wanted to build the place you open when you want to know what’s happening around you. What’s trending. What’s happening tonight. Where the food is. Who is selling what. Who offers a service. What opportunities are available. What’s happening around campus. And sometimes, just something funny that everybody is talking about 😂. That’s why Lead City Daily was built. A place where campus feels alive. A student shouldn’t have to know the right person to find the right opportunity. A small business shouldn’t need thousands of followers before students can discover them. A student with a skill should be able to say: “I can do this.” And someone who needs that service should be able to find them. An event happening tonight shouldn’t depend on someone remembering to forward the flyer. And when something important happens on campus, you shouldn’t hear about it three days later. You should be there when it happens. This isn’t just about stories. It’s about the people. The students building things. The students selling things. The students creating. The students looking for opportunities. The students looking for somewhere to eat. The students looking for something to do tonight. The students who simply want to know: “What’s going on?” So we’re building one place for all of it. Lead City Daily. Your campus. Your people. Your stories. Your opportunities. Everything happening around campus.
